Communications and Community Engagement
The Rocklin Unified School District's (RUSD) Department of Communications and Community Engagement shares the district's mission, vision, values, and goals to engage with the community to support student achievement. The goal is to increase awareness, visibility, and support for the outstanding people and programs of RUSD.
Additionally, the department connects with community and corporate partners to build a thriving learning environment for the children, enabling them to reach their full potential and lead fulfilling lives. The department oversees communication for the school district, which comprises nearly 12,000 students and approximately 1,100 staff, through strategic communication planning, community relations, partnerships, marketing, branding, and advising staff and district leadership. Schools receive support through consulting on various issues, including marketing, outreach, and crisis response. The office is responsible for Rocklin Unified's districtwide internal and external communications, community relations, media relations, and social media, among other tasks.
