Wellness Together

Wellness Together provides turn-key mental health services for students in grades 7-12, families, and educators. Culturally competent Mental Health Specialists (MHS) take a collaborative approach with existing school staff to provide evidence-based interventions within each school’s Multi-Tiered System of Supports (MTSS). Wellness Together offers individual counseling, group counseling, crisis intervention, family engagement, and social-emotional learning.

Sierra Vista Hospital provides a full range of inpatient and outpatient psychiatric services for adolescents and adults. Inpatient care includes separate mental health programs for adults and adolescents with 24-hour nursing, daily groups, and oversight by a psychiatrist.  Our hospital provides an inpatient alcohol detox service as part of the inpatient care. Located just south of downtown Sacramento, California, Sierra Vista is committed to meeting the region’s mental health needs.

Mission is to empower Native youth and families in the Sierra Nevada Foothills through family education and cultural resources. Resources include youth programs, cultural education, recovery programs and family wellness.

One of the aims of Rocklin Unified is to provide a system of academic and social-emotional supports in a culture of acceptance for all students. Through our LCAP stakeholder engagement process, staff, families, and students identified a need for increased behavior and social-emotional supports for students. One of the ways we have expanded our social-emotional instruction and support services to students is by utilizing a social and emotional learning curriculum for students called CharacterStrong (grades 6-12) and PurposeFull People (grades K-5). 

The CharacterStrong curriculum is designed to support school communities as they engage in the work of preparing young people to thrive in the 21st century. Research supports the effectiveness of social & emotional learning in schools to increase students’ academic success and college & career readiness. The lessons focus on developing skills and mindsets around building positive habits, understanding our emotions, and increasing empathy.

Part of CharactorStrong, PurposeFull People offers a social and emotional learning toolkit. The toolkit helps schools weave simple, powerful, relatable content utilizing a library of practical resources and activities to help effectively teach a wide variety of traits that we know help make students more successful in their academics and in their lives outside of school. Over the course of the year, you’ll be invited to join in the fun! We will provide letters home related to each trait. Each letter has some great conversation starters, books to read, activities to pursue, and some challenges (“PurposeFull Pursuits!”) that we encourage you to look at and try out with your family. At school, our teachers will be role modeling this work by doing their own challenges. In the classroom, our educators will be integrating everything from 30 second strategies to longer activities designed to teach skills like Courage, Kindness, Empathy, and Responsibility.
