ROCKLIN, Calif. – April 23, 2021 – The Rocklin Unified School District (RUSD) will celebrate 1,000 graduates in in-person ceremonies at its high schools, beginning on June 2, 2021 through June 4, 2021. The Class of 2021 will participate in outdoor ceremonies that will be in compliance with the California Department of Public Health’s Guidance for the Prevention of COVID-19 Transmission for Commencement/Graduation Ceremonies.
“The Class of 2021 has demonstrated that they are resilient as they’ve endured consistent, unanticipated changes to their high school experience in the midst of a global pandemic,” said Roger Stock, Superintendent of Schools at the Rocklin Unified School District. “Each student remained committed to their academic goals as they quickly adjusted to four different learning models, including distance learning, two different hybrid models, and finally back to full day, in-person instruction. This year’s graduation ceremonies will be extra special for all families and teachers, and I am so proud to see each graduate receive their diploma.”
Each ceremony will be limited to 90 minutes to minimize the length of time graduates and guests are gathered together. After increasing capacity throughout the stadium grounds and keeping with the six-feet social distancing requirement, each graduate may invite up to four immediate family members to attend their ceremony. School’s will provide students with livestream information to share with others that may want to cheer on the Class of 2021.
